Women's Association

The Women's Association of our church was established on May 14, 2000, during the tenure of Rev. Fr. Peter Fernandes. Mrs. Jane Crasta served as the first President, with Sr. Luella as the Animator, and there were 75 founding members. The motto of the association is "Unity and Charity."

Over the years, the association has been led by several Presidents, including Cicilia D'Souza, Ms. Precilla Monteiro, Mrs. Lucy Rodrigues, Mrs. Irine Lobo, Mrs. Elizabeth Pereira, and Mrs. Celine D'Mello.

    The Association has been involved in various activities to support the welfare of the parishioners. These activities include:

• Providing aid to economically disadvantaged families

• Organizing seminars on AIDS awareness

• Visiting orphanages and sick individuals

• Promoting information about self-help groups

• Conducting competitions during special events

• Visiting mourning families

• Distributing Kuswar during Christmas time

     The year 2024-2025 marks the Silver Jubilee of the Association. To celebrate, a free health camp is organized on 18th August 2024. The Association holds monthly meetings to plan its activities, and special events will be organized throughout the year for the Silver Jubilee.

      Fundraising initiatives have included selling candles, selling ice cream, and organizing housie housie games during feast celebrations. Special visits to mourning families and the distribution of Kuswar will also take place during Christmas time.
